Meet the team

Daryl Teague, Managing Director

Carrying on the family tradition of house building, Daryl formed Glencairn Properties in 2011 with a focus on developing design-led luxury homes. Daryl manages the company’s property portfolio, site acquisition and sales. With a background in finance and banking, Daryl worked for JP Morgan and Lloyds prior to establishing Glencairn.

A graduate in property and finance with an MA from Aberdeen University, Daryl is also a keen golfer.

Fergus Campbell, Investment Manager

Fergus joined Glencairn in 2023 from Watkin Jones Group where he spent three years in the Divestment team, supporting on the execution of the Group’s Divestment activities across BTR, PBSA and Co-Living. During this time, he was part of a team that forward sold £1.2bn of PBSA, BTR and Co-living developments throughout the UK. Prior to his time at Watkin Jones Group, Fergus spent 4 years as an investment agent at Lawson and Partners working in a specialist team focussing on PBSA transactions and funding.

As investment manager, Fergus supports Daryl in managing the company’s property portfolio as well as acquiring new sites and ensuring there is a robust exit strategy in place for each development.  

Fergus graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Hons is Real Estate. He is a qualified chartered surveyor and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Outside of work Fergus enjoys the outdoors and can often be found fishing on Scotland’s rivers and lochs to variable degrees of success.

Laura Maginnis, Development Manager

Laura joined Glencairn in 2019 as Development Manager following a 12-year career as an Architect and Associate Director in a Commercial Architecture Practice. During this time, she gained extensive knowledge in the Luxury Hotel & Hospitality Sector and developed a keen eye for detail along with a love of materials and interior design.

At Glencairn, Laura manages the projects from initial appraisal of new land opportunities, through the planning process and oversees the technical stages of the development to completion.

Outside of work Laura can be found roaming the hills or travelling with friends.

Nicola Gourlay, Development Manager

Nicola has over 26 years’ experience in construction with a unique global perspective given she worked in America and Asia, returning to the UK in the early 2000’s. With an award winning background in designing and delivering luxury living, hospitality and bespoke working environments, she made the progression to development management in 2015. At Glencairn she focuses on bringing our partners together to create the best living environment for all.

She is a Board member of Women in Property, and outside of work you will find her wrestling with the refurbishment of her 16th century home or wild swimming.
